Given the freedom to create a poster for any band or singer of my choice, I went with the band Van Halen. This poster is embedded with deeper and more personal meanings while still carrying out its purpose as an informational graphic.
Growing up listening to Van Halen with my dad this poster had an instant meaning to me. So, rather than using the given technique to make a concert poster I also embedded numerous meanings when I think of Van Halen.
I took metaphors from each of the songs I most listened to and made them into icons on the poster, I also included my dad's guitar and guitar picks into the background as elements in the design.

Overall the poster layers together to create a dynamic and electric feel.
