This project is a drawing series, which uses a unified subject to employ meaning through multiple works. For the subject, I chose to use my childhood home; as it is reflective of my personality and passions as a design student.

This characterization as a whole hopes to represent the impacts interior design has on a space; which is beyond the mere physical aesthetics. It creates a functional space that mirrors unique personalities and lifestyles

When choosing the subject I would make my series project on I knew I wanted it to reflect my major in some way. Rather than using a random building I could find, I decided to create meaning into the idea and use my childhood home.

The series starts out with the plot of land my house would be constructed on, then transitions to when it was built, and later sold to my family.

The drastic change from image 3 to image 4 reflects the abandoned feeling of our house once we moved; as my childhood life was taken away. Lastly, the series finishes with a turn over to the new owners and how they made the house match their story.
